January 2013 marked a year since the Partnership Accreditation for Landlords (PAL) Scheme was launched as the first scheme of its kind in Hertfordshire. 75 Delegates attended our celebratory event at the Hatfield Mercure Oak Hotel and highlights of the event included 2 Keynote speeches by Mark Alexander and David Lawrenson (pictured)

We continue to grow, adapt and engage with Landlords, Property Managing or Letting agents as well as businesses, trades and organisations who are willing to support our aim to raise the physical and management standards of private rented property within Welwyn Hatfield.

50 landlords and 200 properties are now signed up to the PAL scheme and several letting Agents and organisations have expressed interest in joining PAL as 'Supporters of the Code'

Councillor Roger Trigg, Executive Member for Housing and Community commented:

"It is good to see that we have quite a number of landlords who have joined this scheme as it benefits both landlords and tenants. Tenants can expect that the property they rent will meet a set of standards and they know that if a problem arises, there is a reliable means of having it resolved. Equally, landlords have the benefit of a model tenancy agreement, advice and local discounts, plus the reassurance that tenants are more likely to want to rent properties from them."
